My name is Susy, and my journey with yoga began over 20 years ago as a way to heal from childhood surgeries and maintain my well-being. Now, as a certified Yoga Therapist and Lifestyle Medicine Educator, I want to share the evidence-based benefits of yoga and lifestyle medicine with you.

Why Strange Movement?

There are two reasons why I named my business Strange Movement. First, because my last name is Strange. And second, because people often feel intimidated by yoga, believing they’re not flexible enough or that it’s too ‘woo woo’ for them. But yoga is so much more than just strange movements—it’s a practice for all bodies, beliefs, and abilities. It’s accessible, transformative, and rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern science. My goal is to show you that yoga isn’t about perfect poses—it’s about finding what works for you.

I have over 25 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in the cardiovascular field, and I’ve practiced yoga for two decades. Despite childhood spinal surgeries, I credit yoga for keeping me strong and mobile. My qualifications include:
